Abstract
Current work within the IETF raises concerns about a workable outcome for IPv6 allocations when/if new IPv6 space gets allocated by IANA for extra terrestrial networks.
This proposal aims to ring-fence the current global IPv6 unicast space for terrestrial use only, and ensure that when that new space gets allocated, it will be used for its purpose and that it has sufficient guidance on how to be used.
