Health, Safety and Security

Your safety in Sofia is important to us. Please review the information below to help ensure a safe and comfortable stay.

Sofia is generally a safe city; however, as in any major destination, you should remain aware of your surroundings, particularly in crowded areas. Use licensed taxis or trusted ride-sharing services, and keep your personal belongings secure.

We recommend that all attendees:

  • Have valid travel insurance
  • Familiarise themselves with nearby medical facilities
  • Stay informed through local news and official alerts

If you require assistance at any time, please contact local authorities, venue staff, or your hotel.

Emergency Services (Police, Ambulance, Fire): 112

In Bulgaria, the universal European emergency number 112 connects you to Police, Fire, and Ambulance services. All calls are handled by a central dispatch centre, which will direct your request to the appropriate emergency service.

Medical assistance at the hotel

In case of a medical emergency or if first aid is required:

  • Contact a member of venue staff immediately
  • Provide:
    • A brief description of the incident
    • The location
    • Details of injuries or symptoms (if known)

Staff will notify the duty manager and security control, who will arrange for a qualified first aider to attend.

Evacuation

In the event of an emergency, all guests must follow instructions provided via the hotel’s public address system, as well as guidance from onsite hotel staff. Please remain calm and proceed promptly to the designated evacuation points as directed.
