Abstract
InterLAN IX wanted a member self-service portal with every network change checked, reversible and recorded on a network running Nokia SR OS routers and Arista EOS switches together.
This talk explains the choices behind it. One request touches several routers, each with its own previewed configuration, a rollback timer and confirmation one router at a time; when safe recovery cannot be proven, a human takes over. The database owns intended state, so hand-made device changes surface as deviations and are never silently adopted. A digital twin built from production snapshots lets us rehearse changes, and an AI assistant with read-only tools writes reports and migration plans without touching configuration.
We close with today's limits and what comes next.
